I joined to be a part of VSA because I wanted to connect with my roots and build relationships with peers who shared a similar cultural background. Growing up in NE Philly, I had few Vietnamese friends, but attending Drexel allowed me to meet others with whom I could share my heritage. Through VSA, I was able to practice and learn more about my native language, despite my limited proficiency, by engaging with friends and peers who encouraged my growth. From organizing the annual ACE Mentorship Program to putting on the Culture Show, my team and I proudly shared our culture with the Drexel community through art and performances.
