Army Geospatial Center
Mrs. Amanda Po is a Geographer for the Warfighter Support Directorate within the U.S. Army Geospatial Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In this role, she is the Geospatial Support Team Training Engagements Lead that provides technical reach-back support, data collection, production, exploitation and dissemination of geospatial information tailored to the Army’s unique mission requirements, crisis response, and mission command systems. Mrs. Po collaborates with agency partners to manage geospatial data and educates the user community on the relevance and applicability of geospatial data. She provides advanced training support that enables Geospatial Engineer and GEOINT Teams to prepare for war-fighter exercises and overseas deployments using their fielded unit Army Program of Record systems. Mrs. Po is a Chief Warrant Officer Three for the 28th Infantry Division (28ID) Pennsylvania Army National Guard in Harrisburg, PA. She enlisted in the United States Army on January 11, 2008 as a Topographic Engineer and received her commission on February 25, 2016 as a Geospatial Engineering Technician Warrant Officer. Mrs. Po serves as the 28ID's Geospatial Information and Services Advisor to a Two Star General and Division Staff. She oversees four brigade geospatial-engineering teams across the division, coordinates and supervises the collection, production, analysis, interpretation, and processing of geospatial intelligence analysis. Mrs. Po leads and supervises geospatial engineer and imagery analysts to conduct terrain and mission analysis and dissemination of geospatial data and analytical products. Mrs. Po's deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. As the division's Sr. GEOINT Chief, she spearheaded multiple collaborative efforts with external units and agencies across the theater to develop geospatial data-hosting and data-sharing procedures, leading to enhanced and synchronized information and products. She collaborated with United States Agency for International development (USAID) to create a geospatial systems workshop tailored to the Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Agriculture to improve irrigation and farming in the Middle East. Mrs. Po holds an undergraduate degree in Geography & Urban Studies from Temple University. She specialized in Geographic Information Systems. She is certified in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency GEOINT Professional Certification Fundamentals and holds many other technical certificates. Mrs. Po's military education includes Noncommissioned Officer Advanced Leaders Course, Warrant Officer Basic Course, and Warrant Officer Advanced Course for Geospatial Engineering. Mrs. Po's awards and decorations include Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation (1 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (4th award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal W/ Campaign Star, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal w/ Bronze Service Star, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2-Device), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2-Device), Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/ M Device, and the Combat Action Badge. She is married to SGM Jacob W. Russell, has a step-son, and resides in Fort Drum, New York.
